5-a-side

	NCYL 5-a-Side 2008
	The annual 5-a-side competition was held on Saturday June 7^th at the Sale Road Playing Fields, Heartsease. Under 10 and Under 12 games were held in the morning and Under 14 and Under 16 games in the afternoon. 36 teams in all took part which made it a very busy day. The weather was not particularly kind to us but thanks to all who took part and played in such a good spirit. A great deal of hard work went into making the day a big success. To that end, grateful thanks are due again to the guys who were prepared to referee the games - Andy Woodcock, Andrew Black, Rob Whalen, Paul Thomas, Martin Burke, Trevor Middleton, Kevin Timewell-Read, Gary Ryan, David Hook, Jim Green, Chris Blower, Tim Stapleford, David 'Chip' Hay, Nathan Barnes, David Sharred, David Davies, Ben Keane, Norman Johnson & John Arden. There were others too, so please accept our thanks even though your name isn't listed. Grateful thanks too to those involved in all the preparatory work and clearing up afterwards - that was Tim Stapleford, Alan, Phil and Daniel Barnes, Mike Culwick and Kevin Timewell-Read. Thank you everyone!
